CORNERSTONE YOUTHQUEST BASKETBALL

We had a good turnout today with almost 30 boys out. We talked about responsibility as well as how with the world as complicated as it is, there must be something (someone) behind it (Namely, God). Congrats to our MVP's of the day (Sailavam and Thomas).

JUNIOR HIGH SUNDAY SCHOOL

On Sunday, our topic was, "God is Like a Mom." Our main verse was Isaiah 66:13a, "As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you." We talked about understanding our ability to influence people in good ways or bad ways as well as choosing a specific person, place and time to influence toward right living in the next week.

YOUTHQUEST JUNIOR HIGH

Today we had a P.A. Hang out at Trevor's house. Bill and Melissa hosted our excellent adventure. We had a great lunch, played some games, had some great dessert and overall just had a good time hanging out. Look out for our Christmas Party!

JUNIOR HIGH SUNDAY SCHOOL

Yesterday our lesson titled, "God is Like an Inventor."

We talked about understanding why God is like an inventor as well as how we can be creative to use the God-given gifts God has given us. Our main verse was Nehemiah 9:6b, "You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them.

Yesterday we had another great night we a team of volunteers and plenty of students. This month, we are focusing on responsibility, "We are accountable for all our actions. We follow through on our commitments. Congrats to our MVP's, Christian and Ali.

COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY GET TOGETHER

Yesterday our college and university group got together for Thanksgiving hangout. We watched a video by Rob bell, "Everything is Spiritual." www.everythingisspiritual.com , had some thankgiving pizza and wings, played rock band at Rob's house and celebrated Sarina's birthday.

JUNIOR HIGH SUNDAY SCHOOL

On Sunday, our lesson was, "God is Like a Servant." Our main verse was Isaiah 42:1, "Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him and he will bring justice to the nations."

We talked about why God is like a servant as well as understanding how we imitate God when we serve others. Our challenge was to choose a gutsy act of service to do this week.

ORDINATION CELEBRATION

On Saturday, yourfriendlyneighbourhoodyouthpastor became officially ordained. It was an incredible weekend of celebrating and thanksgiving.

YOUTHQUEST JUNIOR HIGH

Tonight we had a fun night hanging out at TMC! We talked about what we are thankful for and shared a song together, played some cool games to help us get to know one each other better and did a study on free time. Our main verses were Ecclesiastes 3:1-8. Of course we had pizza! Our next event will be a P.A. Party at Trevor's house!

Tonight was our first official night of the new season and we started off in a great way. Over 30 students and 17 students volunteers. This week we talked about respect and had a great night of basketball. Congrats to Simon and Shemar, our MVP's of the night!

JUNIOR HIGH SUNDAY SCHOOL

Yesterday our topic was, "God is Like a Potter." We had amazing artists using PlayDoh to create some magnificent pieces. Our main verse was Isaiah 64:8, "Yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand."

We talked about why God is like a potter as well as how we can be molded by God as well as used by God to help mold others. Some other people in the Bible we studied who were molded by God were:

Peter - Matthew 16:13-20
Sarah - Genesis 18:1-2, 9-15; 21:1-7
