YOUTHQUEST CHRISTMAS BANQUET
On Friday, we had our annual Christmas Banquet. This year, we had a special emphasis. It was also the pledge banquet for our church's capital campaign. Currently, we are trusting God to raise 3 million dollars to build a 10 million dollar community like-centre church.
We had some great food (potluck style) and made many relational and financial pledges. The youth pledged almost $7000 over the next 2 years for the campaign.

YOUTHQUEST BASKETBALL
Between both sessions and our student volunteers, we had over 60 boys out last night! Our Character Matters trait of the month is "Empathy" - We strive to sense and appreciate the emotions of others, to "stand in their shoes." We demonstrate appreciation of and concern for their feelings. We try to understand issues from their perspective, even though we may not agree with them personally.
CORNERSTONE'S PLEDGE BANQUET
We had an incredible celebration on December 2nd. It's was Cornerstone's pledge banquet to raise money for our capital campaign. Our vision is to build a community-like centre as a place of worship and as a gift to the community.
The youth were heavily involved. They served in the StarKids children's ministry so that all the adults could be in the service, they did a balloon raffle, operated various booths, set up the banquet hall and even did a flash mob!!!
We were also treated to an international meal and the ethnic sounds of Krystaal - a band from Africa.

We also had several youth participating whether by the youth bake sale, baby-sitting or performing in the talent show. It was a great night! The bake sale alone raised $116!
