JUNIOR HIGH SUNDAY SCHOOL

Today we continued our class presentations. We heard some moving testimonies and were challenged as we listened to the following topics:

Tonight was our YouthQuest Transformers Finale. We had a great night celebrating all that the Lord has done in and through us this year.

We have testimonies from some our youth, special performances, blessings for our graduates and of course, some good games, food, desserts and prizes!

Tonight was our end of the year finale!!! We had a great night celebrating our 9th year. Congrats to all of our winners. We also had some prizes donated to us. It made for a great event.

It was great to have our young people studying, preparing and presenting the Bible and how it impacted them throughout the year.

SENIOR HIGH YOUTHQUEST

On Friday, we did part 3 of the "Love Movement." Our topic was "What is love?" TAKE ACTION. We talked about three ways we could show more love in church, school, and in the local community.

Tonight we had over 50 boys in the gym so it was pretty packed!!! We continued our talks on courage and after a great night of basketball, award two students who showed courage on and off the court.

We had a great night last Wednesday with both sessions. We continued talking about the Character Matters trait of courage and even had a guest speaker (one of our adult volunteers) as well as one of student volunteers run the whole program.

JUNIOR HIGH YOUTHQUEST

On Friday, we had two youth lead the games section of the night. Then we moved on to chapter 8 of our Kingdom Experiment. It was exciting to hear how the group finished strong. We were challenged to make this the start of our involvement in God's mission, not the ending.

YOUTHQUEST BASKETBALL

Yesterday we had a good night of competitive basketball and great character. As we wind down the year, it is great to see how they have progressed in basketball skill and character. We look forward to our end of the year program.

On Friday, the high school students did part two of the "love movement."  We're looking forward to putting our love in action!

On Friday we had the chance to get out and have some fun! We went bowling at Markham Bowl. We had a great time and the girls bowled so much better than the guys! Congratulations to Emily and Talitha - our prize winners!

Tonight we had a packed house despite the rain - and even a little snow outside! We finished the month of talking about integrity and had one of our youth volunteers do the 5 minute talk on this important character matter's trait.

SENIOR HIGH YOUTHQUEST

On Friday we took some time to discuss the Boston Marathon Bombings as well as a question one of the youth had about Christians fighting in wars.

We also started a new initiative called the "Love Movement." This movement is designed to revive a biblical understanding and expression of love. At the end of it, we have a chance to be on a TV show!!!

For the past 30 hours, some of the junior and high YouthQuest Transformers combined with Koinonia fellowship (MCBC) to participate in World Vision's 30 hour famine. Together, we raised over $1500 to go to needy families all over the world.
