AUTONICHE CAR WORKSHOPS

Hey guys, interested in learning more about how to take care of your car? Check out these courses that can help you be more responsible whether it's your own car or your parents.

Auto Industry 101
"Why is one shop charging me twice as much as the other to do the same repair job?"
Ever wonder why there's such a big price difference between shops:Oil changes that range between $15 to $80, brake jobs that range between $50 to over $1000?
Why is there such a price difference between similar cars and/or parts? What are the ramifications of poor-quality work? What are advantages and disadvantages of dealerships?
In this seminar, we'll give you a brief introduction to how the automotive aftermarket industry works!
We’ll also explain ways that you can feel more assured that you’re getting what you paid for.

Auto Myths
"Ok but how do I really know...."
It’s not that you don’t trust the mechanic. But there are so many differing opinions from family, friends, and the media that you wonder who’s right? Join us in this seminar as we break down and explain some of the common auto myths out there. Is nitrogen better for your tires? Is synthetic oil better for your car? Do you need an alignment if your vehicle starts to pull to one side? Etc, etc.

Workshop requirements: you have attended Basic Car Care & Maintenance and Safety & Emergency

Basic Car Care & Maintenance
"The basics for every vehicle owner."
There are many similarities between a human body and a car. Just as doctors recommend a regular physical exam, it’s important to get your car checked on a regular basis too.
We'll talk about the importance of maintaining your car properly (which means doing more than just an oil change!) and some basic maintenance items that you can do. Regular preventative maintenance can save you from unexpected and expensive repair bills. We'll provide an overview of the various maintenance services and briefly discuss the importance of tire care.

5 MINUTE DEVOTIONS

John 15:16a - You did choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit - fruit that will last.

Sometimes you may wonder if what you do makes any real difference. Sometimes you may wonder if the seeds you plant in life won't all just dry up and die. God has a green thumb. Through Him you can produce fruit that will last. What seeds are you planting that will last?

5 MINUTE DEVOTIONS

2 Timothy 1:7a
"God did not give us a spirit of timidity..."

Go out on a limb for God today. "But," you ask, "what if the wind blows and the branch I am counting on breaks?" Yes, that could happen. You could just stay at the trunk of the tree. It is safe there. Still, go out on a limb today. Why? That's where the fruit is. Where in your life are you timid? When has God given you courage?

CORNERSTONE OWNS LAND!!!

Praise God, we finally own land! It may not look like much now, but this 5+ acre site is where our community centre like facility will be built in a couple of years. It's located at 9th land and Major Mac (where Donald Cousen's Parkway is).

5 MINUTE DEVOTIONS

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 - Two people are better than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person fails, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble (NLT).

It takes two to have a friendship. If you have a friend, consider yourself blessed. If you do not have a close friend, consider being a friend to someone who needs one. Do you have many real friends? Why or why not?

JUNIOR HIGH SUNDAY SCHOOL

Today we look at how God is like an inventor. Our memory verse is Nehemiah 9:6b, "You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them."
We look to understand why God is an inventor as well as how we can be inventors by using the creative gifts God gives us and to make a plan to use them more often.

5 MINUTE DEVOTIONS

Ephesians 6:10 - A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. (NLT)

You can't do it. You feel like giving up. You are tired and worn out. God's mighty power is within you. You can't do it, but God can through you. Where in your life have you experienced God's power? Where in your life do you need God's power?

DEEP THOUGHTS

The irony of Jesus' day was that the 'righteous' were more damaged by their righteousness than the sinners were by their sin. Tragically, it is possible to think we are becoming more spiritual when in fact we are only becoming more smug and judgmental - John Ortberg
