CRAZY LOVE SMALL GROUP

2 weeks ago the grade 8 boys and girls from grade 8-12 finished reading the book, "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan. We were challenged to think about the fact that the God of the universe - the Creator of nitrogen and pine needles, galaxies and E-minor - loves us with a radical, unconditional, self-sacrificing love. We were challenged to go beyond just going to church, singing songs and trying not to swear.

Over the last month and a bit, we wrestled with breaking free from the status quo in order to find an authentic faith that addresses the problems of our world with tangible, even radical solutions. We talked about how God is calling us to a passionate love relationship with Himself. We discussed how the answer to religious complacency isn't working harder at a list of do's and don'ts - it's falling in love with God. Once we've entered His love, we'll never be the same.

We were challenged by the fact that when you're wildly in love with someone, it changes everything?

Do we have "crazy love" for God?
