Today we looked Luke 12:15, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions."Our goals were to:
1.Understand what it means to be greedy and why Jesus wants us to be on guard against greed.
2. Look at ways greed shows up in the lives of young teens
3. To choose a dare to move away from greed and be on guard.
Our specific dare for this week was to:
1. Give something away (that I really like)
2. Spend time every day praying to God about my greed (pick a time and location every day)
or
3. Tell someone about the greed in my life - and have them tell me whenever they see me being greedy - write down who you'll pick and when you'll tell them.
